Bro. James was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX by Rev. Harley and Christene Martin, pastors of a Pentecostal Church. At an early age he dedicated his life to Christ and subsequently was called to preach and then to mission work with Native Americans. While at college at Ozark Bible Institute, he met his future wife, Carol. After two years, they were married. After completing Bible school, they were in pastoral ministry for 19 years in a total of three churches. In August of 2000, Bro. Martin began Hope For The Home Ministries. He enjoys ministering to Native Americans and spending time with family.
Sis. Carol was raised in a preacher’s home most of her life. Though she had plans of going to college and becoming a financial consultant, God spoke to her and called her to Ozark Bible Institute in Neosho, MO. There she met Bro. James and the rest is history! She carries a great burden of hospitality for the Native Americans. She often feeds large gatherings of Natives and loves doing it. She is an accomplished pianist and loving mother. She enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Joseph was born on Sept. 27, 1989. From an early age, he loved children’s ministry involving puppets, skits, songs, and games. Therefore, he began our children’s ministry when he was only 11 years old. His varied interests include Entrepreneurship, photography, graphic and web design, and writing. He enjoys exercising and playing the piano.
